The Women's Day Road Race (Long Event)

Race Information

The Women's Day Races, for most of its 45+ year history, featured two different race events - a 2.1 miler and a longer race, either a 10k or a 5-miler. Recently, the event dropped the 2nd women-only event in favor of a single 5k, and added more inclusive events like the Community 5k and kid-only events. This page describes the Women-only "long" event - 10k until 1989, and 5 miles thereafter. The course moved around the county quite a bit in the early years, but settled on BCC as its home in 1984, where it was held continuously until it was dropped in the 2010's.
