About This Event...
The Steel Rail Races, named after one of original sponsor Berkshire Brewing Company's signature beers, began on May 19, 2013 as a half-marathon. The event was conceived and organized by Kent Lemme and Berkshire Running Center. The race has always centered around the Ashuwilticook Rail Trail, with varying start and end points as the trail itself has changed over the years.
