Race Description:

The ninth edition of the Sam Gomez Classic was held on November 2, 1986. The proceeds were donated to the Northern Berkshire United Way. A total of 65 runners participated, 33 in the longer race. Tom Auclair, a student at NASC, won the long race, with Cheryl Doucette was the first woman. Paul Mederios, another NASC runner, took the short race, with Marilynn Martin of Cheshire winning the women's division of the short race. The Western Mass Athletic Club won the overall team prize.
