Race Description:

The sixth edition of the NASC road race (later renamed the "Sam Gomez Classic") was held on October 30, 1983. The proceeds were donated to the Northern Berkshire Youth Hockey Association. Bob Colantuono won the long event in a time of 51:12, while Ted Hutch won the 2.7 mile race in 14:00. Bernice Dean won the women's long event, while Marilynn Martin won the short event.
