Race Description:

Diane Tedford won her third race in four years in the 1992 edition of the Independence Day 5k with a time of 17:49. The men's race went Fran Ireland in a time of 15:39. Rain was on tap for this one, which may have contributed to the first decline in participation in the race's history (though just 33 fewer participants showed up than in 1991). Said Ireland after the race, "Winning this race meant a lot to me...mostly because it's in the Berkshires and you're running against people you know."
